My martial arts career started 15 years ago, with Dai Ki Haku full contact Karate – that background taught me a lot about discipline, stamina and personal boundaries. We all trained full contact fighting in every lesson, I had some great years with Karate, but time constraints with my work and family forced me take a break from martial arts training. After Karate I tried Kickboxing and also some Jiu Jitsu, but never got really in to it.
Some years later I started with Wing Tsun Kung-Fu training and have been training this for the last 3-4 years.
Why Escrima Concepts?
Escrima Concepts caught my attention at the Danish Summer Camp some years ago when Arnie (from Germany) taught me some techniques, and showed me that Escrima isn’t just people playing around with a stick; it is so much more than that.
After visiting Master Steve and Wayne in Clacton earlier this year, I decided to fully dedicate my time and effort to Escrima Concepts, and I am now training hard to become a real “Hardcore” Escrimador ;0).
Master Steve, Nic K-Osei and Wayne Tappin have already shown us in Randers, Denmark – that they are willing to help and support us and our students. And thank you very much for your appreciated support, and warm welcome into the Escrima family. I also have my own martial arts web shop, www.kungfu-online.eu and hopefully the future will give me many more great experiences with training and personal development within the system.
I started Escrima Concepts in Randers together with Michael Schou, and I would love and hope to be a part of the future growth and development of Escrima Concepts worldwide. With Nic’s support in Denmark and regular visits from Master Steve and Wayne I know I am on track for the future.

We work hard to build EC in Randers and hope to help support our friends the two Lasse’s in Odense, with Nic in Copenhagen and interest in Arhus is beginning too. EC with WT and the Alliance looks good for Denmark.
Personally I am married to Rikke and have a daughter Sarah; I hope she wants to follow her dad in Escrima Concepts.
