Second 2 None Seminar in Holland |
|
During the weekend of 23 & 24th of October the first International UCT seminar, Second 2 None, was being held in Amsterdam. And with the support of the Alliance Masters it was a big success! It started on Saturday with Wing Tsun Concepts under the instruction of and Sifu B.L. Westra. Sifu Westra went through some Wooden Dummy applications and gave the participants a little preview on a Long Pole application! After this the Escrima Concepts training started with Master Steve Tappin and his son Wayne. Everybody really enjoyed this and were nicely warmed up for the Groundfighting part with Sifu Morten Ibsen and Sifu Christian. At the end there was an enlightened training on a different Martial Art, Kyokushin Karate with Sensei R. v. Mansfeldt. The next day the schedule was the other way around and this time the day was ended with a Sanda Instructional with Sifu Earl Blijd. Along this way Sifu BL Westra and Sifu G. Cheung wishes to thank all who helped to make it a great trainingsweekend. A special thank you to Master Steve, Sifu Morten, Sifu Christian, Sifu Riis, Sihing Petteri, Sifu Bonucci, Sifu Mattioni, Sifu Bernd Nau, Sifu S. Claus and all the others who we might have forgotten to mention. This set-up, a seminar with other martial artists, will also probably be copied in the future by others, as with the BJJ, the UCT and the Alliance lead the way! |

Escrima Concepts Double Seminar in Denmark
In Odense and Copenhagen on the 30th and 31st October Master Steve and Head Instructor Lars gave two seminars in Denmark. In Odense, as guests of Sifu Morten and Escrima Instructor Allan Tang, the seminar went well with a hard working group who all passed their tests. The event was attended by three members from Hamburg with Arne helping out on tests. In Copenhagen students were examined by Master Steve who stated that they all did great. The first grade students did very well as did the others but a really tough grade was achieved by Lange Peter who worked with a broken toe. Master Steve explained movement and basic unarmed drills to work along-side the syllabus. Master Steve took the opportunity to work on some TG grades as well so much work was covered in these two days.
It's Good To Be Us! |
